About The Event
Vaikunta Ekadashi holds significance in the Hindu calendar for the followers of Lord Vishnu. It occurs on the day of the waxing moon in Margashirsha (December January), as per the calendar. This auspicious day is believed to provide a gateway to Vaikuntha, the abode of Lord Vishnu. His devotees highly revere him.
During Vaikunta Ekadashi, devotees observe a fast to express their devotion and cleanse their minds and bodies. This fast begins on Dashami, the day. It concludes on Dwadashi after sunrise and the completion of all rituals.
The day is marked by prayers, worship rituals (pujas), and recitations of texts like Vishnu Sahasranamam (a thousand names of Vishnu) and Bhagavad Gita. Temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu witness gatherings as devotees participate in these ceremonies seeking blessings.
An essential aspect of Vaikunta Ekadashi is the opening of 'Vaikunta Dwaram' or 'Swarga Vasal,' which represents the temple gateway to heaven.
Join us on Saturday, December 23rd 2023, at 5 A.M. As part of our Vaikunta Ekadashi celebrations, we are thrilled to announce the 'Suvraga Vasal' (Heavens Gate) ceremony. This sacred ritual is believed to bring salvation and liberation from the cycle of birth and death. We invite all devotees to participate in this event and receive the blessings. The temple has arranged prayers and rituals to ensure an enriching experience. Save the date. Be a part of this observance as we seek the blessings of Lord Vishnu together.
