Puratasi Sani - Sri Vari Abhishekam

The Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple of Wellington (SVWT) invites you to observe the sacred Puratasi Sani, with Sri Vari Abhishekam held on all Saturdays during the holy month of Puratasi. Devotees worship Lord Venkateshwara and observe fasting on these Puratasi Saturdays to seek his divine blessings. After the Abhishekam, devotees will offer and light a Maavillakku, a lamp made of rice flour and jaggery, as they worship Lord Venkateswara by chanting his divine name, "Govinda." Following the lighting of the Maavillakku, devotees perform archana and sip the sacred abhisheka theertham. Lord blesses devotees through the rays of the Maavillakku light, bringing sound health, wealth, and happiness, minimising the adverse effects of Saturn, and fostering spiritual growth and overall well-being. Join us in these blessed rituals and receive Lord Venkateswara's grace.
