Mahalaya - Pithru Paksha at SVWT
Observing Period: 27 Sep 2026 to 10 Oct 2026
During the sacred period of Mahalaya—Pithru Paksha, the Sanatana Dharma Paripalana Seva Trust invites you to participate in a special event dedicated to honouring our ancestors. This period is a time of shraddha, during which we express our gratitude and respect to our ancestors and seek their blessings.
The event will include a brief discourse on the significance of Pithru Paksha and guidance on properly observing the rituals. To assist in your offerings, SVWT has prepared bags containing Rice, Green Bananas, Jaggery, Betel Leaves, and a Banana—the traditional Svyampaka Dhanam offered to Brahmins. Each pack is available for $20, or you may bring these items from home. You are encouraged to offer these along with Dakshina to the priest.
