Gayathri Homam

Join us at Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple of Wellington (SVWT) on Monday, 10th August 2025, as we celebrate Gayathri Japam Day as part of the Upakarma rituals. Gayatri Homam is a sacred Vedic fire ritual dedicated to the Goddess Gayatri, who is revered as the embodiment of the Gayatri Mantra and the divine mother of all the Vedas. This homam is performed to invoke her blessings for spiritual enlightenment, wisdom, clarity of thought, and overall well-being.

We invite all devotees to participate in the Gayathri Homam, seek the blessings of the divine, and experience the peace and power of chanting the sacred Gayathri mantra. We will offer 24000 oblations on this day.

🕗 10:00 AM: Samidhadhanam by Brahmacharis

🕥 10:30 AM Gayathri Homam

🕛 12:30 PM: Maha Deeparadhana, Theertha Prasadam
