About The Event
Arudra Darshan – A Celebration of Lord Shiva
Arudra Darshan is a sacred Tamil festival dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is observed with great reverence during the Arudra Nakshatram (Thiruvaathirai Nakshatram) in the holy month of Maargazhi Masam. This day is highly auspicious as the Arudra Nakshatra coincides with Pournami (full moon).
On this divine occasion, devotees worship the Nataraja form of Lord Shiva, symbolising cosmic dance and universal balance. The rituals are performed during Arunodaya (pre-dawn hours) with Vedic chants and sacred offerings.
