Aksharabhyasam involves the child writing their first letter or symbol, with the guidance of their parents, invoking divine blessings for successful learning and a bright future. Vidyarambham, a complementary ritual, has the child write their first words or mantra on a bed of rice, a symbolic act of entering the realm of knowledge under the divine's watchful grace.
